Wings Field, outside of Philadelphia, is one of the most famous airports in the United States. It is home to many innovations including airport lighting, radio navigation, communication, autogiro (forerunner of the helicopter), balloon tests, WWII coordination, and more. Here for the first time is a 75-year illustrated history of this great field and the dedicated people who have preserved it as a private airport.
