Walter Beech who, after serving as an executive at Laird and later founding the Travel Air Company, went on to found the Beech Aircraft Company. Beech produced high-quality small to medium-sized aircraft of innovative design, & produced many classics. Book is a retrospective of Travel Air and Beech aircraft from the early monoplanes and Staggerwings right up through the Bonanzas, King Airs and Starships. Beech died of a heart attack in 1950 at the peak of success. His impact on the design of executive aircraft is felt today.
