A very rare first hand account by an American flyer who joined the RFC in 1916. The author became a navigating officer of the famous 100 Squadron which flew the huge Handley/Page 0-400 bombers. Nicknamed the 'Bedouins ' because they moved bases so often, they were engaged in strategic bombing missions in the last year of the war. It is one of the few accounts to cover RAF night bombing missions in WW I. This book does not cover World War I operations in the mid east.
