The attack on Pearl Harbor did not destroy the shipyard facilities & oil storage tanks and all but 3 of the major ships sunk or damaged eventually made it back into combat. Photos & narrative are to give the average reader an appreciation of one of the two most important aspects of World WAr Two naval history and as a memorial to all the military personnel and civilians who took part in the effort to get America back into the war.
