This novel is a tale of daring Prohibition aviators who risked their lives smuggling whiskey over the American plains. The year is 1929, and smuggling whiskey from Canada to Nebraska, an old collection of down-and-out pilots, flying everything from Jennys to Curtiss Robins, takes on the cruel Midwestern snows, towering thunderstorms and endless expanse of prairie where engine failure spells a long walk out. Big money and biplanes. Pilots and gansters, their women, their lives. Some succeed and may die.
